Could you tell us why your GP has almost halved your levo dose? Did you have bloods taken that indicated you were over medicated? If so do you have the results that you can post (with ranges).

Yes all the above are hypo symptoms.

yes had bloods they reduced to 125 then 6wks later had bloods reduced to 100 then 4 wks later reduced to 75 they say that my tsh was undetectable and this was why they lowered levo, but i was fine (well better than i am now) until they started lowering them its now 8 months on and things are getting bad by the day .have gp appointment tomorrow ,and just hoped that someone would agree with me .i only joined this site a few weeks ago and did not know that you could have a copy of your blood results until i read about it on here

It's ridiculous that doctors/endos adjust your meds according to your TSH, with the result that patients can have severe consequences. Adjusting doses can mess up your metabolism and aggravate your hypo with the result of additional clinical symptoms.

This is a link and cursor to the question dated January 25, 2002 and extract

It takes little cognizance in clinical practice to realize that this dose rarely is enough to keep a patient's metabolism normal. And rarely is this dose enough to free a patient from symptoms of abnormally slow metabolism. If patients are going to have normal tissue metabolism and good metabolic health while using T4, most of them must take a dose that suppresses the TSH level. It’s this fact that mainstream doctors need to come to understand, if they’re going to stop keeping their hypothyroid patients ill.

Insist on a new thyroid gland blood tests and you will have to educate your GP or whoever reduced your meds. Get a booklet by Dr Toft - about £4 from Amazon

amazon.co.uk/gp/search/ref=...

If you cannot afford it you can email louise.warvill@thyroiduk.org and ask for a copy of a Pulse article by Dr Toft and highlight the question 6 for your GP to read and learn.
