APPLES! they are the worst...

It really depends on which type of IBS you have, i.e. d or c.

How would I know the type of IBS I have the doctor just said I have IBS.

Well, do you have diarrhoea or constipation or both? Do you bloat, have wind, have pain? IBS is different for everybody. Some people have all the symptoms, some less.

I have been told by my dietician to avoid stone fruits and apples, bananas and pears. People respond differently to different things, I can have oranges and berries, but avoid strawberries as I personally don't like them! Experiment, try fruit bit by bit and see how you get on.
