IBS and Covid

Had Covid for the third time around 2 weeks ago and my IBS is pretty bad over the last few days.

This strain gave me different symptoms , got the sore throat and stomach issues . Anyone else found the same after a bout of Covid recently ?

Probably doesn’t help I’ve been taking lots of antibiotics since last year for sinus/ear infections.

Covid was possibly the cherry on the cake after a brutal cocktail of antibiotics. 😬

I had the same with my recent COVID spell. Had COVID a few times and I would say this strain is worse. Sore throat followed by severe constipation and tiredness that is debilitating. I was a complete zombie for 3 days. Can’t believe this thing is still with us after all this time.

I thought I was going mad. Yes when I’d had Covid previously I had gut symptoms towards the end of it, this time my gut was off during it and read that this latest strain digestive issues is a symptom, doesn’t help IBS sufferers one bit.

Never got the headache with this one either like i did previously.

Also didn’t get a sore throat like i did this time. I thought i had hay fever (which i get quite bad) with a change of weather.

I got it for a few day (probably 2) don’t think it matters how long tbh. Have you tested for Covid ?

I never got a sore throat with Covid previously .

It’s awful isn’t it.

I had some trouble after previous infections but this one is the worst.

How are you feeling now? Recovered I hope.

I’m still really suffering with the fatigue. Just can’t shift it. This strain has really taken it out of me. Updating this thread to see if there’s a pattern to this virus.

It’s better than it was but it’s still problematic from time to time.

Definitely had more gut troubles after this one though. ☹️

I’ve just had blood tests done and my levels are all over the place. GP said it’s not unheard of for covid to do this. She also said it can target inflammation so in my case it’s gone to the guts and caused havoc. Got to repeat the tests next week so see if they’ve stabilised. Hope you’re heading towards a full recovery.
