Bloody mucous

Hi everyone,

I am currently on my period, and I suffer with extremely heavy periods and pain. Today, when going for a BM, I noticed small specs of blood in my mucous on top of the poo. This has happened a couple of times today, and it has happened also in the past. When it happened in the past, I did poo samples and everything came back normal.

I've been feeling very tired , achy and run down recently (my period isn't helping) but when having BMs today, I had no pain, my BMs were actually "normal". I've been eating fine.

Has this happened to anyone else? It's only in the mucous I'm seeing tiny specs of blood here and there.

Hi, you are clearly worried about this, and you feel run down. It would be an idea to see your GP to discuss, and ask for some blood tests to see if your are anaemic or low on B12.
