IBS pain

I wake up with terrible IBS pain every morning. What can I do to control the pain?

Is it relieved with a bowel movement? Are you IBS C, D or mixed?

I suffer from visceral hypersensitivity which is related to IBS pain and it used to affect me most at night/early hours of the morning. I experienced this in my back. This is when the bowel is at its most active getting ready for a bowel movement the next morning. The things that help me the most with this are Alflorex probiotic and Linaclotide (for IBS-C only). Gut nerves can be oversensitised by a dominant bad bug which is why the Alflorex helped me and Linaclotide helps to calm intestinal nerves.

Have you discovered the Low FODMAP diet. If not just google it. It's really helped me.
