Travelling with IBS

I am really prone to IBS flare ups when travelling and I usually end up with nausea, cramps and diarrhoea for several days- I think this may be due to the change in food and water plus lots of eating out. I am still getting to grips with my trigger foods and I have a college trip to Canada next month so I don’t want my IBS to be a big issue for me there as we have a lot planned for the days and in the evenings. Any tips for travelling with IBS and eating out with IBS when you still don’t fully know your trigger foods?

Just seen your post, this can be troublesome for me also. This is what seems to help me, I take 2 Imodium the evening before and 1 more in the morning before I travel. I drink only bottled water and try and stick to a plain diet for a few days and then I will try maybe a meal that's a bit more adventurous. Good luck with your Canada trip.
