Brief history. Had anxiety issues most of my life to varying degrees. Last year my clueless doctor put me on Pregalabin, should have researched it. By the time I realised how bad it was I was hooked. I tapered off them myself succesfully. The aftermath was just as bad. By the beginning of this year I was feeling good. More active, positive.
Then this started creeping in. Have had lots of tests nothing physically wrong with me so I’m guessing the anxiety is creeping back..
Generally sleep well suddenly about 6am I’m woken by this tingling “ explosion “ will have smallish but normal poo and go back to sleep about an hour later same again and another hour later same again. What’s even more annoying if you combined all these poos it would make one good poo.
I’m on a SSRI and have erratic anxiety but during the day keeping busy it doesn’t happen then but the early awakening and disruption knocks the stuffing out of me.
Anyone had this any suggestions ?

Hi dexter92, sorry to hear about your erratic anxiety and the affect on your IBS. It sounds as if your anxiety is the cause of your early morning waking and reaction.
I have been in a similar position to you. I am not sure if you would consider having counselling or psychotherapy? This has helped me. Meditation and mindfulness can also really help. There are lots of excellent ones on YouTube: for example, Tara Brach and ‘The mindful movement’.
