interstitial cystitis

Hi, I've been suffering from uti for 7 months, and finally cleared but now I have burning pain all the time. I've been to the urologist and gynecologist and had all the tests but they can't see anything. I was suffering from constipation but now taking fiber gel which seems to be helping that. I've been taking amitriptyline for 25 years for nerves of the bowel. I only take 30mg but they've suggested increasing it to help with cystitis. Has anyone taken amitriptyline for this pain? so drained any advice would be great. Thanks

try De Mannose from health shop called Waterfall. I take one tablet every night as a preventive as does my best friend. We both find less and less uti’s.

thanks I’m taking that but the now brand recommended by urologist doesn’t seem to help at the moment thanks for your reply

Yes, a specialist I went to last year recommendd that, D Mannose, for pain I was having without infection. It worked during the 1st month and I have only taken a few since then.During pre menopause and menopause I had many utis and it was finally beaten with Ovestin vaginal cream , i.e. a constant barrier.
