I am hoping I can find someone who has experienced what I am.

I had a colonoscopy in august and it was clear, only thing was internal hemorrhoids.

6 days ago my boyfriend and I had anal sex and I am only sharing this because maybe it’s related to my problem. since Friday I have been passing mucus. I get the urge like I need to poop but only mucus comes out, floats to the bottom of the toilet.

yesterday and today I did have a bowel movement, type 4 on the Bristol chart. I thought the mucus would be over.

today I have passed it again a few times and I feel kind of crampy.

I agree with the first reply you received. I am an Enterostomal Therapy RN (retired) and it sounds like you’re experiencing inflammation. Talk to your doctor as you may need a hydrocortisone cream or suppository to calm things down. For future reference use lots of lube next time

I have had mucus for a long time now, explained this to the doctor a few times over a period but all they say is it’s part of the ibs. I have the urge to go to the toilet only to pass mucus, I end up using my wife’s thin pads as I keep leaking at times and get so embarrassed within myself. I have used cream and suppository in the past but I thought this was only to help with piles?
