IBS-C and cramps

Has anyone experienced lower belly cramps due to I S-C?

Feels like if I am getting my period but I am 60 years old😂

Hi Madavis. IBS-c can cause lower abdominal cramps, but if this is something new for you which is causing you concern then it would probably be wise to ask your doctor for advice. In advance of that it can be very helpful to keep a note of what foods you're eating and if anything in particular makes it better or worse. Best wishes, Jane.

Thank you for your reply. I am going to my doctor in less than four weeks, good idea to keep track of the foods. I started taking Metamucil every night. Hopefully that helps me to get regular again. It was working but for some reason constipation is back😞

I’m 70 and began IBS-C.After over 50 doctors visits and many prescriptions and tests of everything , nothing was never found.

I decided my self to tried mint capsules with ginger Fennel oil

I take 1 in the morning meal

Is magical excellent for slow transit and digestion.

I have the same issue. Severe gas and cramps. I have also tried everything. Please let me know what brand the tablets are and I will buy some. Are they enteric coated so they only release in the colon?

Hi yes I get horrible cramps if I'm constipated luckily they're few and far between now I'm on medication for my constipation.

Sorry I can’t help I have never had a period😂except for the odd period of madness. But yes I started getting them a year ago, my IBS has always been higher up but the past year it’s been mostly bottom left from belly button to groin. Hope this help Lewis

Oh yes I get this all the time I'm 61 and have coeliac and IBS C in fact I would rather have the period!
