I have been suffering with IBS due I think to diverticuliti discovered when I had a colonoscopy about 6 years ago. It got so bad I was sent to hospital for tests when I had a recent flare up. A couple of months ago I started 16 hour fasting usually from 6pm to 10am. At first I didn’t notice any difference and thought it was getting worse but now for the last couple of weeks I feel normal again. It’s so nice to have normal poos that I do not have any trouble sticking to the fast. I am used to it now and do not feel hungry in the evenings and then just wait until later in the morning to eat. I am hoping this will be a long time solution but I know with IBS you can never know.

Hi thank you for that I will give it a try I think. I don’t usually eat first thing in the morning anyway and usually have my dinner about 5pm so I know it’s definitely doable. Do you drink water during the fasting time?
