Hi there

Does anyone have insomnia with IBS, or any other stomach or heart problems.

It’s driving me crazy I’m not depressed nor anxious, Something is stopping me from sleeping this has been going on for weeks now but no one in the medical profession seems to be taking me seriously I don’t know where to turn. Thanks

I’m the same only I start worrying and then get stomach cramps and then diarrhoea- so then I can’t sleep at all I’ve heard that nocturnal diarrhoea is dangerous so now I’m worried about that too - just can’t win 😪

Hi IBS & anxiety are bed buddies . It sounds like maybe you have fibromyalgia flares that contributes to insomnia . If you are menopausal then perhaps u could be suffering from thisAnd it’s all tied into IBS & could wake you at night . Be careful of your diet choices during Covid . We are tending to pick too many sweets etc . There are lots of factors . Re examine your Day and then prepare to sleep . Make it meditative & gradually you will return to sounder sleep . Also if age is a factor That’s another thing to keep awake for ... right !!!. Check your mattress and pillows . Hmmm

Sometimes it’s too much light or noise . Sometimes it’s all in your head . True

Hi..yes I am sometimes on my knees with tiredness! I have IBS and fibromyalgia. The pain in my neck/between my shoulder blades is due to the fibro and when am having a flareup that also keeps me awake. I can't take strong painkillers so have to put up with it! Am up in the night several times to wee so that doesnt help! I find if I eat too many bics/cakes that makes my IBS worse so I need to cut down on sugary treats. Keep us posted on your sleep patterns..keep safe x
