Diagnosed as having diabetes type 2

Started getting my ibsd Sussed and now just been diagnosed as having familiar diabetes type 2. Used to have bio yoghurt which helped but found they have quite a lot of sugar so changed to kerned yoghurt (natural plain yoghurt) tried lactose free Greek yogurt but had severe stomach pains but since starting cutting down sugar my ibsd has been flaring up. Anyone advice ?

Try and avoid lactose aswell. I've mentioned this to my mum as she's a type 2 diabetic. Anything with "ose" in its name is a form of sugar, not sure if you knew this so was just making you were aware.

Thank you, so much to take in, am having a online education session with diabetes nhs team this week to learn all about it

Hopefully you can reverse your diagnosis and manage with diet. My mum sadly kept drinking two bottles of coke a day and kept eating chocolate!!!

She disregarded and ignored everything she was told. Now she has a whole host of issues. I don't mean to scare you but please take what they say seriously. Uncontrolled diabetes is not good, not good at all.
