I don't quite know how to put this, but just wanted to know if anyone else gets it. Sorry about the TMI nature of the post but I don't know how else to put it.
Since I started having my bowel problems I also seem to have this symptom where when I finish pooping it's like I feel my bum closing but then an extra little bit of poop comes out unexpectedly, which means that as I stand it sometimes falls into the toilet or even once or twice on the floor without me noticing until I see it because I feel like I'm finished and it also causes a lot of wiping.
Anyone? Thank you!

Yes I also suffer from this issue and it’s worse if things are on the looser side, for me usually food related, sometimes stress. I’ve had lots of investigations in this department and discovered my anal sphincter is not as strong as it should be due to childbirth and a rectal tear. As you say it’s difficult to wipe clean and just forget it. Sometimes I go back to loo hours after and I’m still in a mess. It’s very depressing but little that can be done about it. There are a few procedures and interventions but none particularly successful or without their own side effects. Keep buying the wipes
Thank you for your reply. I have some really funky things going on, but I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one and that on investigation you didn't have anything too serious. Yes I'll have yo bulk buy wipes x
The best advice I was given from the consultant was use Imodium as your best friend. So if you’re a bit soft which makes things messier take half to one tablet. This helps to a degree.
Oh yes I had this once the worse thing was I pulled my trousers up and it went down the back of them and I didn’t notice till I came out of the toilet it was so embarrassing.
I had something similar happen to me once. At work I pulled my trousers up and a bit fell on the floor, I only noticed it as I was leaving the toilet, thank God I did though and I was able to clean it, as it was only my boss and myself at the office so he would have known it was me 😬
