Just wondered if anyone else experiences a sudden urge and necessity to have a number two when out walking in the countryside?

Absolutely but not just limited to the countryside. If I go somewhere I usually take Imodium, not ideal I know but helps me get out and about !

Oh yes, better to be in the countryside than in town when you can't find a loo! Like Huggit if I going out for the day an Imodium is handy to take plus my little emergency kit. I have taken to doing sphincter excerises which has given me an extra few mins to find a loo

I cant remember the last time I went walking in the countryside. I seem to plan any outing around the availability of toilets. This means city centres, museums, theme parks. I take 2-3 loperamide (imodium) per day anyway just as a maintenance dose. Id up that to 6-8 for a day out and still be very nervous

I have IBS-C but every so often need to go!!!! Have stopped walking groups etc as too embarrassing. Off for a walk with friend this morning and already worrying! What if today’s the dayxx

First time I experienced it was January 2017,I was working in head office of a bank... I manage to run a cross a big room fool of people, bearly made it to the loos. Long story short- entering the toilet I wasn't able to holded anymore. Had to spend 4 hours in there naked, not able to wash my self(no sinks in the cubicle). Finally had to ask a girl to call my maneger (didn't have my phone with me). Luckily for me I had a good friend from work living close, she was asked to bring me some bottoms...

I went straight to the hospital, that was the first time I heard of IBS.

Then I had a really long time in and out of hospitals for exams, 2 months wearing nappies for grown-ups..

However today I can go outside thanks to Loperamid and I know each loo on my route to work, to every place I need to go and I never go anywhere without my phone.

Sorry it turns out really long :)

So you are not alone, I'm sending you virtual hugs!
