Hi everyone, has anyone got any good advice for managing IBS-d. I have got somewhere when I was on symprove and took an Imodium on a weekly basis. I’m looking for any other remedies as my flare ups happen for no reason. I’ll be eating something I’m completely fine with before and I will be bad :( thanks guys.

I've been able to eat more foods since being on Alflorex probiotic which has been scientifically studied for IBS. If that doesn't work have you tried the fodmap elimination and reintroduction diet? Stress can also be a factor which may be why you can tolerate some foods some days and not others.

Thanks to FODMAPs, in the last year, I’ve eliminated certain triggers, eg some fruit, vegetables and pulses, which has really helped my IBS-D. For the last 4/5 weeks, I’ve been taking 1 Imodium capsule before bed daily and that has also really helped. My condition has definitely improved although there is still urgency which can be a source of anxiety. If I could eliminate that, I’d be very pleased!
