Hi all I've just been told I could possibly have IBS early stages but was wondering does it stop anybody from running tried running over the weekend and pain got worse to such an extent I had to stop.

Is that what your GP said 'early stages'?
my GP didnt say early signs sorry my GP suggested that it could be after a examination and listening to my symptoms .
Ah! understand now-well in my opinion until you have had all the exclusion tests that 'could' needs to be a positive. In the mean time yes, you should be able to do running once you are given the correct meds for IBS, (I did netball). But there will obviously be times when you have to take it easy if you have a flare up. You need to get a positive diagnosis but I realise in the current situation that it is not easy. Keep safe
