Being sick IBS

I’ve been suffering with really bad IBS flare ups and I can’t put my finger on what it is, but it’s been that bad over the last fue days I’m actually being sick, been up all morning throwing up and going to the toilet too. I work in health care so Ino it’s not a bug and it is my Ibs. I’m stuck in pain and don’t no what to do next.

Firstly, make sure you drink plenty of water, to replace the lost fluids, and then contact your GP or GI team, urgently. You should know that any change in bowel habits needs investigation to determine the cause.

Have you been checked for gallstones? I had my gallbladder out about 18months ago . I suffer with IBS but when my gallbladder stated playing up I started being sick.

I haven’t no, I haven’t had any testing done for anything else yet. I’m under dietitians and I’m going to try the FODMAP diet first to see if there’s any changes. Thankyou for your reply
