One for the ladies,

My daughter thinks she is suffering from ibs and looks about 5 months pregnant. She is also finding a physical relationship with her partner extremely painful. She used to suffer from constipation and wind but says this isn’t troublesome at present. Do any of you ladies suffer with these symptoms? I have suggested that she go to the docs ASAP but is having difficulty getting an appointment to fit round her job.

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks.

These symptoms can be also down to other bowel conditons, she needs to see a GP to get an official digianosis and rule out other things. Then she can start to treat it correctly.

Insist on an emergency appointment and if you don't mind me saying her health is more important than her job! They should do a number of tests and one I feel strongly about is a CA-125 blood test.

Why would you recommend a ca125? Curious as its not a completely fool proof test.

No, not a fool proof test but will give a definite indication if there is a problem in that area

Because the symptoms Tiredmums's daughter is showing may be gynae related and as you are aware a CA-125 will be an indicator that something maybe amiss and they will do other tests.

Thank you, I also think it is gynae related.
