Ibs and accupuncture

I posted here last week about my symptoms and anxiety.

Since then I decided to see a new doctor who is a proper md but also uses accupuncture as a treatment. I had one session on Wednesday and I must say that amazingly it did help. All my symptoms disappeared plus anxiety.

Yesterday since I finally had an appetite I ate and enjoyed it.

Unfortunately last night I was woken by bloating and pain again. Would this be because my stomach isnt used to eating (,I've been starving myself due to anxiety and fear of symptoms)

This doctor also sent me for a load of tests (,blood and stool) and I'm seeing him again today for results. I'm terrified!

Something I noticed when packing my stool sample was a very long ropey kind of string. Am wondering if this could be a worm?

Doctor says he's concerned at my weight loss which shouldn't happen with IBS. Although I told him that I have no appetite probably due to chronic anxiety and fear of eating due to symptoms it may cause.

Im hoping the tests reveal the problem or maybe nothing at all so he can confirm IBS and continue with the accupuncture which is the first thing I've found that works.

Three panic attacks in three days isnt good.

You do get weight loss with ibs, I lost loads of weight because everthing I ate caused pain so I hardly ate anything.

Hi. I saw another post of yours regarding feeling like there's buzzing in your abdomen or a rolling feeling? Wondering if you received a diagnosis for that. I'm going through this now. I understand some think it could be parasites; others an imbalance (potassium, magnesium, etc).

Thanks!

L

Hi. I had numerous blood and stool tests done and everything was clear. Doctor gave me meds for parasites anyway and some strong probiotics.

My IBS symptoms change often and I always try to find an explanation (or suspect the worsr) but it seems I just have to accept that it's IBS. I have chronic anxiety and the doctors say, and I'm almost convinced that its my main problem and cause of the symptoms. So I'm trying hard to address the anxiety now.

Why don't you get yourself tested just to make sure. Parasites are easy to treat with medication.

If you don't eat you will lose weight. If you're losing weight and still eating that would be more of a red flag xxx
