Sitz marker

Hi everyone,

I had my X-ray for the sitz market today to measure transit time. I swallowed two tablets per day Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

I didn’t get any results but I was allowed to look at the X-ray and I could see all the markers along my left side (I haven’t been the toilet since so I know they were all there). And I could see some stool building up along the right side.

I’m not sure what that means medically. Is it considered a motility issue or will I be told it’s “normal”/ibs

I was wondering if anyone else has motility issues or have experienced the marker test?

Hi Ash, I've recently had this done and 19 markers remained. My gastro has me taking resolor at night and laxido as required and bingo, it seems to be working!

I had severe side effects to resolor (it was like I was instantly paralytic and had a migraine so severe half my face drooped). I have been on linaclotide, picolax, magnesium hydroxide, laxido and softeners for years and they don’t work.

I guess I'm one of the lucky ones. I hope they find something to suit you
