Does anyone have any tips on how to deal with IBS pain as I am getting it a lot, really bad cramps and I have a 2 month old baby which is making it really hard as he’s just started sleeping better at night but not because of the cramps I can’t sleep at night still. It’s really painful and as well as me not being able to sleep because of it i don’t want to wake him when a cramp comes and make him start crying just as he’s starting to sleep during the night. Any tips would be much appreciated.

Hi Demih .sorry to hear you are suffering so badly and losing sleep. Not good with a wee one to care for . You must be exhausted . I'm sorry I can't offer much advice. But have you tried mebeverine ? It's an antispasmodic so it might help you . I pray you find something to help you . Take care .God bless.
Hi Demih,
It all depends what is causing the cramps. If it is stress around having a young baby to care for and lacking sleep, you could find that something as simple as deep breathing could help relax your nervous system. Certainly worth a try: sickofibs.com/well-being/a-...

Hi,
You could try Colpermin as a first approach - it’s just peppermint oil and I find it works well for me. I’ve used Buscopan in the past, but prefer to use more ‘natural’ ingredients when possible.
Ordinary peppermint capsules aren’t so good - they need to be ‘enteric coated’ to allow them to pass through your stomach without dissolving too early.
Hope that helps!
