Been great for weeks and weeks now. I was taking Saccharomyces boulardii which seemed to balance everything out. Stopped taking a few weeks ago and all was still well. I've come on holiday today and it's flared up again kicking my brain into cycle of anxiety-ibs-anxiety-ibs etc etc.
It must be the holiday stress that's causing it? I'm only in the uk so not 'travellers diarrhoea' or anything.
My anxiety over it being a bug of some sort is making everything worse. Like I said a cycle, a self fulfilling prophecy

I so recognise this cycle - it can make me feel despairing when I've been in a good patch to revert to the ibs/anxiety/ibs feedback loop, especially when you've been trying something new that seems to work. You probably know about it but I'm trying the Headspace App - 30 day meditation practice for Anxiety, because I feel I have to interrupt the cycle in my mind as I know all about the self fulfilling prophecy!! I expect you've tried meditation for anxiety but if you haven't give it a go. Yesterday I had to have a colonoscopy and could feel my blood pressure rising and my anxiety mounting. At one point I thought I'd been given sedation and as a result I believed I was going to sleep. I began to feel warm, yawned a lot, felt calmer and was just falling asleep when they awoke me to give me my sedation!!! This has really hit home to me how my mind is in control of my body and how I need to get better at taking charge of my mind. Good luck - when all else fails I endlessly repeat to myself 'this too will pass'....
Hi, You should try the probiotic and magnesium supplement I've had so much success with. The probiotic has five strains of excellent probiotics and contains 4 enzymes that go after the bad bacteria. The magnesium supplement is incredibly gentle and helps me be normal again!
