Do you get these symptoms? ๐Ÿ˜ฎ

A year ago I fell ill my brother recovered but I couldnt shake off the nausea and began to lose lots of weight so much the doctor though I was bulimic he then diagnosed me with anxiety and ibs. After I had seen a therapist and I couldnt totally shake off the nausea I started to try and change my diet but I never totally changed my diet because I felt like non of it was helping. At the same time I was visiting my doctor about gynae stuff I was recentlly diagnosed with endometrosis with which can involve stomach problems. I also went to the doctor about asthma because after I felt like I couldnt speak walk without loosing breath I got given a inhaler for exercise induced asthma but still feel constantly weak. Skip ahead to now I've manage to ease up my nausea by cutting out gluten and processed food having turmeric and peppermint tablets. I do eat smaller proportions of food but overall now I've gone from 10st10lbs and 7st10lbs without wanting to over a year (I lost 6lbs after pigging out at christmas). My nausea comes in waves some weeks I'm fine some weeks I'm not. I do get stomach pain whenever I eat something more than a snack and if I dont eat in time I get stomach pains and nausea. I dont always get the runs but I do get constipated a lot. I do bleed and bloat but endo can cause that . I'm also getting tested for anemia because I tend to get dizzy a lot and always tired. Have any of you lost this much with constipation? No matter what you eat do you get stomach pain? ๐Ÿ˜ฎ I'm trying to understand if its just my diet change or ibs or endo or something else like crohns ๐Ÿ˜ฎ

The dr should be able to check for Crohns through a simple blood test.

For the nausea your dr should be able to prescribe some anti sickness tablets which would really help.

I havenโ€™t experienced all your symptoms but hope the above is of some help

Thought it had to be a stool test for crohns? ๐Ÿ˜ฎ I hope they can prescribe me some at least or send me to someone that can help ๐Ÿ˜ฎ

Ohhh maybe stool sorry. I had several bloods and stool samples done to test for several things. I would certainly ask for it to be done. Perhaps ask to see another go at your surgery.

Stress is certainly a massive factor with ibs

Yeah I might ask if I can have a stool test to see if its something more than ibs ๐Ÿ˜ฎ I mean I stress I eat less and dont eat gluten anymore but I'm constantly dropping dress sizes and when I pigged out at christmas I lost 6lbs ๐Ÿ˜ญ

Hi, Have you ever had gastroscopy?

You have stomach problems and you didn't have gastroscopy. I don't understand. That should be one of the first test.

I would suggest to learn about stomach problems like low stomach acid, bugs, etc...

When I told my doctors that I have nausea after a specific food they said "don't eat it then". After few years I realized I have low stomach acid and my stomach can't handle the high protein intake.

I didnt have a gastroscopy because the doctor just believed I had mild ibs and anxiety a year later I still losing weight and a new doctor is listening to me ๐Ÿ˜ฎ I have looked into what I potentionally could have which is gastroprasis diabetes and crohns its just trying to get a doctor to test for them is hard ๐Ÿ˜ฎ

It's important to have a doctor who believes in you.

Do you have diabetes?

It is finally a year later a doctor believes me ๐Ÿ˜‚ Not sure but I have some of the symptoms and both diabetes and crohns run in my family ๐Ÿ˜ฎ

Sorry to hear that.

I think you should insist to see a gastroenterologist. It can save you lot of time.

And always ask for a copy from your test results so you can avoid unnecessary tests in the future.

Gosh! The Dr should have done a variety of blood tests and stool tests and with that much weight loss be considering a colonoscopy and gastroscopy. Book another app and ask about these. I have ibs d and have lost a lot of weight (though I had it to loose) that worried my dr more than the other symptoms. I've gone from 81 - 63kg in two years, going through symptom free months and then flare ups. I've also had a second baby in that time, no baby weight for me.

Anyway good luck but make sure your dr is doing something, a referral to a gastroenterologist is probably a good idea!

Thank you the first doctor actually had the nerve to ask me if I was bulimic just because I'm young he diagnosed me with anxiety and mild ibs I dont think mild ibs causes over 3stone weight loss ๐Ÿ˜‚I finally have a doctor who will listen to me but they are testing me for the same stuff that came back negative at the start of the year celiac and h polyri also they were testing my liver because it came back like I'm having too much alcohol the irony is I dont drink and have a healthy lifestyle ๐Ÿ˜‚ I've been given anti acids because they think I might have gastroprasis or gastrisis the tablets only seem to work in the morning ๐Ÿ˜ฎWhen I go back if h polyri comes back negative I'm going to mention crohns and diabetes run in my family ๐Ÿ˜ฎ Its hard to distinguish whats endometriosis or not ๐Ÿ˜ญ Oh no its scary loosing weight ๐Ÿ˜ข I have flares as well some weeks I'm nausea and minimal stomach pains most weeks I'm achy and nauseous ๐Ÿ˜ข thank you though ๐Ÿคž๐Ÿป

When I was in my 20โ€™s and 30โ€™s, even a little later, had severe nausea and weight loss. The doctors all said IBS and despite trying a few meds, and I did have tests run, nothing really worked. One doctor finally told me, โ€œyou are under too much stress, marital and work. You will only improve when the marital stress is finished.โ€ Well, sadly, he was pretty much right. My family has a history of diverticulitis and Iโ€™ve had that more recently periodically, but overall am much bettter. During the worst of nausea etc., bananas , crackers and peanut butter, applesauce and yogurt, chamomile tea to soothe nausea, worked nest.
