Currently my ibs is 'constipation' which, (may sound strange) bothers me more than the diarrhea. Do any of you go through days in which your bowels just feel 'mildly' achy??? just enough so that you know its there! --and it goes on all day long.
Doesn't seem to be gas...so not sure what is causing this. Would appreciate hearing from you. Thanks

I get this too. I know exactly what you mean. On the one hand I'm grateful that it isn't agony, but I don't like that subtle off feeling in there. It could be because we need to get it out but we don't yet have the urge so the heavy bowel contents are just kind of sitting there, stretching the inner skin and making it ache.
Yep feel the same. Only way I can describe it is like having a headache in your stomach. You are aware of your stomach all the time. I don’t like wearing anything with a waistband as I feel it’s about to blow at any moment. Does that make sense !
Yes I also get this when constipated and think Lumidna has given a really good explanation of it.It is not painful but very a hey.
Hi there and yes I get this too and I'd rather have the pain, I know that sounds mad but I know where I am with the pain. With the mild achy feeling I can quite often feel 'off' like I'm coming down with something but actually I'm not, at least I know where I am with pain.
I totally empathize with how you feel. I have had ibs-c for about 16 years. Until 6 years ago I suffered almost daily. Then, I completely gave up gluten and my entire life changed. Now I am totally "normal" and 95% of my days are pain-free and great. Although, the occasional indulgence in dairy sometimes gives me problems. Watch out for that too! Give up gluten and your life will change too! It's poison anyway 😉
I want to THANK YOU ALL for replying...it really makes a person feel better and 'safer' somehow when you know you are not 'the lone ranger' in any of this business we go through....Hugs to all.
