This Is Me
The most common triggers for IBS are caffeine, garlic and onions. There's many variations between each person, though. Throughout life I always noticed that dairy and wheat products irritated my IBS. I've cut them out and feel much better for it. If there are any foods you suspect, cut them out for a few weeks, and then add them back in one at a time and see how bad your symptoms are.
If you have IBS-D, high fat diets can be triggering too, even good fats. Cut out bad fats (cream cakes, thick milkshakes, processed cheeses) and just keep the good ones in (olive oil, nuts, oily fish). See what effect that has on you.
If you have a lot of bloating, consider what foods may be causing this. Bananas and potatoes can make some people quite gassy, but not all.
Fibre will play a big role here, too. The amount you eat at the moment might be just right, or you may feel better with either more or less. IBS-D may benefit from soluble fibre, as mine does, because soluble fibre binds stool and decreases urgency. If that makes matter worse, you can try a lower fibre diet altogether to see if that's any better. I've heard that IBS-C can benefit from high fibre, but for some people it doesn't make much difference. I'd recommend a probiotic if you find yourself in that situation, because good bacteria can sometimes be all you need to keep you regular and relieve bloating. I use VSL#3 which was recommended to me by my gastroenterologist, check with your doctor if you wish to try it too.
So if u been given fybogel u must b ibs c!

What i will say is magnesium tablets will help u, it seems most people who have ibs c are generally missing magnesium in there body and they will help u poop every day as soon as i startes taking them
I pooped every day.
Also u need to stay away from spice, onions and garlic they generally upset most of ibs sufferers.
I also went gluten yeast and dairy free and it worked for me ive never felt better i had gut ache everyday i think it was bread! Mainly.
Also i eat little and often never over exhaust ur colon, make it easier to digest if u eat smaller meal.
I take a good probiotic , good gut bacteria is essential! I take a digestive enzyme it helps u digest food and a peppermint oil tablet as i used to get terrible indigestion and wind and now i dont...
