I am reading a book from the Thrive Programme for Emetophobia (there are books for all different conditions) and am finding the book really helpful. The review on this programme are excellent and someone on this forum followed the Programme for Emetophobia and it worked. I would have a look at the website, see below, and see what you can find. I am thinking that this would help a lot with your anxiety; Anxiety does make the IBS worse.
You are welcome. Also, whilst going through the book there was something that I didn't quite understand, I emailed them and Rob Kelly got back to me almost straight away. That's what I call service.
First line treatment offered should now be the low FODMAP diet. This is an elimination diet so you eliminate all the high FODMAP foods that are difficult to digest and then reintroduce them until you find the Ines you can cope with. Ask your GP for a referral to a dietician to help with this.
Also have a look at the clever guts diet book which can give you tips on improve BH your gut health by restoring your gut flora balance.
