Fed up.: Hi,im new here.Im at the absolute end... - IBS Network
Fed up.
Try asking if you can see a dietician to try the FODMAP diet or an elimination diet (not all NHS dieticians are trained to do FODMAP). I tried keeping a food and symptoms diary and then cutting out dairy and wheat (at separate times) and still didn't get any answers. I went back to the gp I managed to persuade her that I was trying to help myself and that I thought an elimination diet might work and she referred me.
You could ask to be referred to the GI Physiology Unit at UCLH. They can arrange for many tests to be run. Their dietitian is Lee Martin whose speciality is the low Fodmap diet.
Give us the background of your IBS and let's see if between us can help and support 👍🏼
read about "mast cell activation syndrome", the cause of much undiagnosed symptoms like yours. Read "clean gut" by dr junger and do the food elimination plan to see what bugs you.
Interesting, mast cell activation syndrome. It would seem that the body has all kinds of ways of telling us what we are not hearing. We need to understand that inflammation is not normal. It happens when we are not in sync with our bodies.
