I`ve started taking Mag Cit to help with IBS -C - and incomplete evacuation. So far I`ve taken 400mg at night and I think it is helping. I`d like to try increasing the dose but am concerned that the instructions on the tablets say 400mg is maximum dose. I know some sufferers here take considerably more than this - are there any dangers in taking a larger dose?

Ask your pharmacist they will know. Don't rely on random people's answer to this kind of question. Pharmacists are trained medical specialists. Make sure you ask for THE pharmacist and don't just ask one of the staff!
