Hi, I've been suffering with post infectious ibs for a few months now with combination d&c. The last few days I've been passing large amounts of mucous. I know it's normal for ibs sufferers to pass some mucous but this is a rather large amount and it's with every bowel movement. Any one else had this?
Thanks

I've had post infectious ibs now for 3 years. Never passed mucous. Right now I have trouble having a regular bm. It seems to help at night when I take a constipation recipe. Then in the morning I have prune juice. I have not woken up feeling good in 3 years. I hope you do better than me.
I've had post-infectious IBS for 5 years now and I too suffer with passing large amounts of mucus, sometimes on its own sometimes with very a pathetically small stool which seem jet propelled due to this mucus. I have recently started on Marshmallow Root (either swallowed as pills or popped open and mixed with warm water as a tea) I am also drinking significantly more water than I was previously and I think the combination of both are helping. I still get insane bloating and pain but not as much mucus and therefore urgency.
