Giardiasis (gee-ar-dye-a-sis) is an infection of the digestive system caused by tiny parasites called Giardia intestinalis (also known as Giardia lamblia, or Giardia duodenalis).
Diarrhoea is the most common symptom of giardiasis.
Other symptoms can include:
abdominal cramps
foul-smelling flatulence and belching
nausea (feeling sick)
bloating
indigestion
fatigue (extreme tiredness)
dehydration
loss of appetite
weight loss caused by malnutrition
medicines called metronidazole or tinidazole are used.

the symptoms i had nothing when it started then in 2010 i was sharing a flat with a mate in 2010 and he was diagnosed with IBS and thats when it started and i drank tap water then i remembered it , then i looked at the symptoms and thought i dont think so its not IBS its something else . and it is this Giardiasis !!
i didnt i know my own body and i know its not IBS with the explosive Diarrhoea i know its that .! not the stupid IBS doctors are saying ? well they have to blame somebody . cant blame the water companies have an epidemic outbreak .!
