Hi all, just wondering if any peeps with IBS along with anxiety issues have found hypnosis beneficial. I go to yoga twice weekly and most days meditate, but my anxiety levels are still significantly high, not sure it's worth paying for hypnotherapy sessions, any thoughts.

Self meditation or hypnosis with a trained therapist?
it didn,t help me at all, also tried the ibs 100 hypnothery cd set that was also waste if money in my case but reviews say that its helped some people,
Hypnosis didn't help me either. I'm sure it works for some though.
Hi although, I have suffered for years, I am only recently diagnosed....but I find that mindfulness helps & when life is as hectic as mine the apps available do remind me to be kind to myself and take 5 mins. Just a thought.
I tried every type and thousands of dollers later realised it just wasn't working. It needs to come from within you!
It does work for some people. But for me, just spending an hour here and there with a specialist didn't work.
Don't bottle up your feelings and find someone close to talk with that you feel comfortable with and so lots of research in different healing techniques until you find what works.
it doesnt work for everyone.i would skip the yoga meditation-probably makes things worse.better to do more physical exercise and help others.IF YOU BELIEVE IN god ask for healing-miracles happen.

When my IBS was at its worst and I was getting very constipated and lots of pain, I was recommended to try Hypnosis and also Rekei. Both worked very well for me and helped no end. It got rid of a lot of the psycological issues etc and I still have the odd Rekei session now and then to help.
It didn't cure my IBS but certainly helped. ....worth a try
Hi ploppy57, thank you also for your reply. I am pleased the hypnotherapy and Rekei helped with dealing with some issues, and in turn eased the IBS. We all keep trying different things to help ourselves, it seems more and more people are having digestive problems, hopefully there might be more research into the condition.
Wishing you well,
