Hi all. I am trying something new. SOYA milk. I have porridge or cereals for breakfast with skimmed milk, BUT I feel very uncomfortable afterwards. So, I am trying SOYA milk instead. I will also try Lactose Free as well to find out if this helps. I have found a great thing recently. Camomile tea( no milk just a teeny bit of sugar). I have Decaf tea now anyway. I tried Shepheards pie yesterday, my husband cooked it, but I was in a lot of,pain afterwards, so no more of that. It was the Stewed Steak from a tin that did it I think.
I am still waiting for my Dietician Appointment at my Local Hospital ,nearly 12 weeks now.

I second the almond milk. We also have one decent rice milk in Canada, comes in a white and green container (the name escapes me). If you don't like one brand of milk replacement, try another. I find them drastically different.
I have lactose free milk cream cheese and cheese and I don't think they taste any different from normal milk etc. I was recommended low fodmap diet and for me it has worked wonders - I don't follow all the time - but I know about it when I don't - worth trying I would have thought, the shepherds pie problem may be down to the gravy, especially if onions in it.
Sheets and goat milk is also worth a try as it's more digestible then cows milk also the yoghurt is yummy I think anyway
That should of read sheep not sheets....
Try almond or coconut milk they are both great taste and can be cooked with too. The shepherds pie would have been down to the onions - definitely a no no on Fodmaps. Try getting the Monash university app it is really helpful in finding out what may be triggering your pain. I think it is about £6.75 and definitely the best thing I have ever bought!
