I've been diagnosed with IBS about a month and half ago. Took the tabs and felt ok since! However I have dropped 6 lbs for no reason

I haven't changed my diet, and I haven't been ill or sick and I'm worried that I'm losing weight too quickly

What tablets are you on? Other than losing weight how do you feel otherwise (I take it you meant you feel ok as no IBS symptoms, but what about other symptoms?)

Alverine Citrate, on thing I have noticed is I don't feel bloated or full in the mornings which is when I normally weigh myself. Since I put this post I've weighed myself this morning and no change to weight. I guess that's a good thing. I have had stomach pains past week but these have gone now

As the other respondent says what tablets are you on ? There is as far as I know only medication to control any symptoms.

I found that dairy and lactose are my causes and I don't take any medication. Some tablet medication contains lactose such as ibuprofen and loperamide

Please seek medical advice from a hospital and get one soon. I do not want to scare you but if you are losing weight for no reason and it is different to what your used to get advice now. Having I.b.s. This can change so first get checked out just as a precaution then take it from there.. Good luck.

Are the tablets anti depressants?

hmmm, i will ask my gp about it. thank you
