I could guarantee if I stayed at home I wouldn't need the toilet again. Ive no appetite at moment and when I eat a little it feels like I've eaten a big meal, so bloated. I've just started taking 20mg citrolpram, does anyone else experience this sort of thing?. Thanks. K.

Had ibs-d for 15 years. I don't know why but if I'm out I may need toilet even if I've been to the toilet at home already.
Citalopram is probably what you have been prescribed - it is usually prescribed for depression.
Hi cricket queen, yes it is citalopram but Im not suffering from depression. What I don't understand is if it's food related would I not be having problems every day no matter what im doing? as the problem is worse when I'm out even if I'm not feeling anxious. But having to rush to the toilet then does make me anxious. I have cut out bread and I am less bloated. What were your symptoms? Thank you for your help. K
My symptoms were severe diarrhorea - 2012 was bad for me from June to October I really only left the house to go to the doctor or the hospital for tests.
Have you tried reflexology for the anxiety. Even counselling might help
Have you tried a completely dairy free diet - it worked for me
avoid dairy and its products, wheat and its products, citrus fruits....follow dr.dani in you tube....im getting better
YES, and I've learned that spacing meals four to six hours apart does wonders. Meals have to be balanced with nothing in between except water. I have to weigh and measure everything I eat. It is hard to walk through the kitchen and not take a bite of something.
I was exactly the same as you. I've been on FODMAPS diet since August and it has worked like a dream. Also gluten and lactose free although now I am able to have the occasional item with a small amount of either of those . I still occasionally have to go to loo. Quite quickly but now have the confidence to go places!!
