My (ex) consultant mentioned it just this week for IBS-C but I have IBS-mixed so she was reluctant to try it but said it was a new drug with promising results. I hope you are able to access it and fingers crossed it helps you! Found the following if its any help.

Good luck! If you aren't able to be prescribed it in your area please ask to get referred to a specialist GI hospital (like St Marks in Harrow) that may be able to reccomend it, thereby forcing your local doctor to apply for funding for it. It worked for me for hypnotherapy.

Hi. I know you posted done time ago but I have just joined the forum and wonder if you ever tried Constella? I have just been given a dx this week of IBS and the consultant prescribed Constella. At first it just made everything loose but last night I spent the night practically on the loo and everything was liquid. Don't know if I could cope with that all the time and am wondering if anyone else had this result. I know the blurb said you could get diarrhoea but does it settle down a bit once in the system?

I was prescribed Constella. Gave me really loose motions and I couldn't carry on with it unfortunately.
