Hi all!

Had a letter come through today to book my cervical smear... letter did not come from my go surgery but came from public health nhs. However o rang my surgery and the receptionist said as I’m not 25 I can’t be booked in.. I’m 25 in August.

She booked me for a telephone call with nurse on Monday to discuss the smear and if I can have it ..

I was admitted to hospital 3 weeks ago with endo/ cyst problems and all they ask me is if I have a smear so I can only think they have requested one?

Or the only other reason I can think of is December 2019 dr found a lesion on my cervix. I was referred via 2 week pathway for a coloscopy when the consultant said he was going to use a liquid and if it highlighted my cervix it meant there was abnormalities... anyway he done that and he said they were highlighted so had to take some biopsies. Said I’d hear from them within two weeks however I didn’t 3 weeks later spoke to receptionist for the consultant and she said they lost my results. Then my gp dr called me 7 weeks from the biopsy saying they were clear? Which isn’t reassuring since I was told they was lost? Could they be requesting a smear ? I just don’t know obviously being suspected endo and having adenomyosis the symptoms are very much in sync with cervical cancer so I’m just mind blown to know why I’ve been sent the letter of the doctors haven’t requested ?
