My dad was recently diagnosed with a grade 4 brain tumour which is too deep to be operated on. The symptoms and diagnosis has come while we were on holiday. The doctors here are telling us that it is urgent for him to have a biopsy so any possible treatment can be started. They can do the biopsy here tomorrow but the travel insurance won’t agree and want to repatriate him to the UK. He will then be taken to his local hospital which doesn’t have the department for this biopsy. My question is what are people’s experience with getting the biopsy? Will it be done ASAP or are we looking at weeks in the UK?
