This may seem odd but in the last three days my husbands commented that I’m coughing again I noticed it today more and yesterday notice I have had an increase in phlegm production . I feel a bit more run down recently but been very down so I’ve brushed it off I am due to finish my medication at the end of July should I be ringing my Tb nurse or is this normal ? . Anyone had any experiences like this on treatment?. Sammi xx

Are you still on treatment? If yes definitely call your nurse ... also, if the treatment began like only a month ago or so, the cough definitely takes time to go.

If you have completed the treatment, contact the concerned staff again... just to be sure of what's happening.. best of luck

Coughing can mean so many things, and as you are still on your TB treatment and have NOT missed any doses then you can be reassured this is something else like a viral chesty cough. I have noticed a few people with chest and cold problems around at the moment because children have gone back to school and adults have gone back to work. Personally I don’t think you have anything to worry about. You are nearly at the end of your treatment now and doing really well, so continue what you’re doing and im sure your cough will pass. Always protect your cough by coughing into your top or a hanky, never cough to spread.

Ok I will not contact them then , I thou I’d see how I get on for a few days but the cough is more often and bringing phlegm up and I have more pain in my chest and ye where I had the original pain I’m also on more treatment for neuropathy due to severe pins and needles . Maybe just over tired I am working nights or high pollen counts so perhaps that could affect my health slightly many thanks Sammi will ring my Gp if I don’t see any improvement x
