I just want tog et this off my chest. I have Lymph Nodes TB and was in treatment 2 months ago. However, traveling to another country prevented me from getting medications for 1 month. I know that it's extremely reckless and ignorant of me. I wasn't informed and educated on the severity of TB. Now, I'm extremely anxious and worried that my TB could turn resistant. I just got back and is unable to make an appointment with my doctor until 3 weeks due to the impact of the coronavirus. I just wanted to post to get this anxiety off my chest. Thank you for reading.

Oh what a worry for you - yes unfortunately TB is a very serious condition and so is the importance of taking your medicines. Waiting three weeks is unacceptable as you could become infectious again.
Can you speak to your TB nurse immediately to get this under control? It’s important you look after yourself and eat well. TB has been around for a very long time, and can make you very poorly but we are here for you to help you get through this x
Did your GP know that you have untreated TB when they made the appointment? If not it may be worth trying to make an appointment again and impress on them that this is the case. It may also be worth referring yourself directly to the TB service at your local hospital . They may not accept direct referrals at this time, as many TB services are now working on coronavirus, however you do not know without trying.
If the TB is confined to your lymph nodes and not in your lungs you do not pose an infection risk, so that is some reassurance. However, as you mention, there is a risk of drug-resistence and worsening of your health.
Thank you for your response and well wishes. I was able to contact my doctor and will be restarting my meds. I'll get tested in 3 weeks. I hope things will go well too.
I'm glad to hear it. Please be very careful to take all your medication now as prescribed. This is the best way to get well, avoid drug resistance and keep safe in these worrying times.
