Feelings of indigestion and heartburn

Sorry it's me again! I have had terrible indigestion/heart burn today. I think I was suffering with it early on before I had my diagnosis for TB, but also wondering if this could be related to the medication. Has anyone else experienced this?

This is a commonly occurring side effect of numerous TB medications. I'm assuming you are on isoniazid? Sometimes of your indigestion becomes particularly bad a doctor will tell you to start taking some food with it. But check with your doctor before doing this as it can interfere with the absorption of the medication.

thank you - I saw him today and he said I should take it with food - although I haven't had it this week at all. Last week it was quite bad. It's strange though as I take my medication at about 10pm at night and the pain in my stomach came on around 2pm most days. Fingers crossed it stays away anyway! Thanks for replying

Yes I do feel the same..n it's getting worse when u sleep..I felt it mostly in afternoon after I had lunch and went for sleep..btw I suffered from abdominal t.b

Basically wait for an hour after taking food and medicine. Walk for a while then go to sleep
