Zytiga
worked for me on the cancer. Just full dose on empty stomach seems hazardous to my liver. Thanks. Charlie

Mixed news
Have been (and still are) on 1000Mg
Zytiga
since February 2018 as well as Triptorelin Neither my Med Onc or Radiation Onc. can come up with a plan for further treatment. They have not given up, but are researching options for me.

Starting ADT
I had a visit last week with an MO who suggested Lupron plus one of the following to be decided based on my blood tests:
Zytiga
, Xtandi, or Erleada. I will start with Lupron on Tuesday.

Abiraterone Acetate
As shared before, my dad is taking a half dose of
Zytiga
(500mg/day). We do not know if it is a new approach of not using full dose or because of
Zytiga
shortage in my country. His doctor said because of high side effects of
Zytiga
and small size of my country’s people, a half of dose is better.

Father recently diagnosed with metastatic PC
The doctor has said the treatment will progress as follows - ADT along with
Zytiga
followed by possible chemotherapy/radiology if and after ADT fails. I have not yet asked if PARP inhibitor will play a role prior to ADT. Does it?

I'm going to start Taxotere, what are the experiences that you guys have had with it?
Then Casodex failed in a month,
Zytiga
lasted fo about 9 months, I came back to America started Xtandi along with Lupron and Xtandi stopped working. Lupron is still doing its job though.

Optimal Chemo-Hormonal Sequencing for MCRPC Maybe Taxotere - Zytiga - Jevtana - Xtandi
In the STAMPEDE trial of newly diagnosed men with metastatic hormone-sensitive prostate cancer (mHSPC), there was no difference in survival among men who were randomized to get Taxotere or
Zytiga
first (see this link).

Anyone using Dr. Scott Tagawa in NYC @ Cornell?
I was on
Zytiga
2.5 years , Lupron since chemo (ended 11/2017) and Xgeva since chemo. However I stopped Xgeva 4.5 months ago because of I now have MONOJ. This past 02/2021 I just had 20 rounds of radiation to the prostate.

Does Zytiga work or not?
- Should my dad take full dose of
Zytiga
or not because PSA still increases (from 4.5 to 5.55, nearly 24%)? I heard of PSA flare with
Zytiga
(even though it's not normal) and heard that
Zytiga
treatment should be monitored for at least 3 months before making a decision of effectiveness.

Any advice on getting Covid vaccine while on ADT, Zytiga and Prednisone?
I have cmpc with PSA of 0.5 Recent blood tests normal. 3 different docs in same oncology hospital dept have said no, yes, cannot advise in that order re: me getting covid vaccine. I cannot see same doctor each visit. I might need to travel to UK end of June. Would love to hear your views, experiences

Has anyone had success re-starting medicine after Chemo?
My last 3 medicines that have failed are 1) Casodex (2 months) 2)
Zytiga
(I think 4 months, but kept taking it to be safe since I moved back to America) 3) Xtandi (5 months but probably lasted for two since I see Doc every 3 months) One of my first thoughts is since Casodex maybe lasted a month

DEXA Scan - how often?
His treatments: Lupron, Taxotere (6 rounds when first diagnosed),
Zytiga
and prednisone, Provenge. PSA has remained at <.1. No pain, he's still working full time. He has the usual side effects from the treatments, fatigue, weight gain, but nothing serious. He gets a CT scan once a year.

Rising PSA
He was put on Firmagon/Lupron and
Zytiga
/prednisone. PSA number dropped from 267 to 4.4. Just found out his PSA has begun rising (4.6). Anyone know what is recommended when the PSA moves in the wrong direction? Thank you for the valuable information you give.

Should I continue Abiraterone for 12 months, or switch to chemotherapy now?
I started Abiraterone (
Zytiga
) in Nov 2020. My PSA did not go to undetectable. My PSAs from Feb 2021-June 2021 have been bouncing up and down in 0.26 to 0.36 range, with the only bright spot a drop in PSA in May 2021 to 0.26.
