Xtandi

I don't want to give up on the Xtandi too soon. Any feedback is appreciated.

Now today he is supposed to start his xtandi. He had his Psa on Thursday which as I said was <0.01. Just wondered what the pros and cons are from just lupron or taking both. Thank you.

Not to mention Coumadin is difficult to manage, especially so with Xtandi (according to the doctor). I have spoken with men who have taken eliquis and xtandi together without issue.

I feel really good, compared to the time when I finished Taxotere, Pelvic radiation and Xtandi, which was killing me and I had to stop. Is there any sign to tell that things are working?

Still in the fight 13 years out using SBRT for tumors and Lupron and Xtandi for system wide control currently. Just wondering if there are any trials out there using mRNA technologies to harness the human immune system in the fight. Seems like a logical next step.

I get the theory of 'it may continue to rise, but it would rise a lot more if you stopped ADT altogether' but what if continuing with Enza/Xtandi was actually making it worse?

My dad is on xtandi and psa went from .69 to 1.2 - now Dr wants to give a PSMA scan- he had a ton of others scans which showed no change even when psa went up- can someone explain what the difference is with PSMA scan vs Axumin or other scans- I'm just really confused why all of a Sudden the Dr wants

Triplet therapy - SBRT, Orgovyx and Xtandi, the latter being an "ARI," androgen receptor inhibitor, preceding the PCa cells from binding with testosterone, their fuel. He's checking with TRICARE For Life on cost...don't see an issue., I checked with Express Scripts, monthly co-pay $14.

Is it possible to rechallenge xtandi in the USA ??

I was on Xtandi as part of a clinical trial at NIH and after 2 years my PSA started climbing and PSMA scan showed metastasis in abdominal lymph nodes and supraclavicular node. Biopsy of the abdominal nodes wasn’t possible but biopsy of the supraclavicular node was inconclusive.

He already had Zytiga, Xtandi, radiation, cryotherapy, Immunotherapy and Taxotere... running out of options but fortunately, he is still feeling pretty good considering all.

From reading UK NHS guidelines, it seems patients who have taken abiraterone are not then able to switch to Xtandi under NHS guidelines. Unless someone else on this site has experienced otherwise. Any advice to give me and him hope would be a blessing.

Enzalutamide monotherapy can improve the quality of live for advanced prostate cancer patients. Thank you, Prof. Tombal, for promoting this arm in the Embark trial! He is going to try Xtandi again. That is the jest of his history, but now we learned Monday that he is now losing blood somewhere and they do not know where. He does not want any additional testing to try and locate its origin. His labs are low enough that he is close to requiring a transfusion.

From personal experience and looking at the posts here, it seems Xtandi is very effective. The most problematic SE is fatigue.

Data shows a 37 percent reduction of risk of prostate cancer advance and death of men, when treated with TALZENNA combined with XTANDI. The study was published from Pfizer 3 phase study TALAPRO-2. The article is from 17.02.2023.

Have any of you had your Cardiac Recovery Rate (or Heart rate recovery) drop, shortly after starting Nubeqa/daro or another kind of 2nd line AR (zytiga, xtandi, erleada etc)?Prior to starting Nubeqa, my Cardiac recovery rate was between 29-33.
