Getting somewhere...Xolair soon?!
The specialist was lovely, really understanding and there was no hesitation in her recommending that she make a case for me to start
Xolair
! Despite me constantly having to justify my lack of wheeze, she said there’s no questioning that my asthma symptoms are an allergic response.

Finally appointment time!
Finally have my appointment for a second opinion at Heartlands tomorrow and to hopefully get the ok for bronchial thermoplasty as I’ve failed
xolair
and can’t get on any other biologics.

In need of advice before my next specialist appointment
He said I couldn't be on
Xolair
but he spoke about Nucala and another one but I don't remember its name. I read that these drugs are only used for those who suffer from eosinophilic asthma.

Nausea with Nucala
Does anyone experience this with the biologic injections like
Xolair
and Nucala? I don't see how I can continue the MAC regimen while taking this monthly injection if this is what is going to be the result. Has anyone experienced this and how long does it last? Thanks...am so sick! Hannah

Xolair and sleep issues
I read that histamine plays a fundamental role in the sleep cycle so I wondered if that's what the issue was, that the
Xolair
is messing around with my histamine levels... Thanks in advance for any insight you may have!

Extreme Anxiety
I was diagnosed in 2010 with severe asthma and it became hard to control I would have steroids and antibiotics every 6 weeks so I became under the hospital and was started on
Xolair
(Omalizumab) injections which I have now been on for 5 years.

IgE mediated allergies now non-IgE mediated.
This year they decided to retry
Xolair
which had previously given me suicidal ideation but now my IgE is only 33, which is ok but my RAST tests have come back practically negative.

SAFS
Mentioned it to the consultant several times, keep being told there's no evidence anitfungal treatment would work for me, so they keep putting me forward for
Xolair
but I don't fit the FEV criteria.

Allergy to the sun
I have been diagnosed with solar urticaria and have tried all sunscreena, all combinations of antihistamines and
Xolair
injections, (which worked for a short time then quit working.) Has anyone tried PUVA (photosensitivity treatments) or low dose naltrexone?

Biologicals vs wheeze
Tried
xolair
slight improvement but presented the same. Tried mepolizumab and my wheeze completely disappeared! I would go from ‘normal’ to silent chest in an attack with only SoB and tightness as a sign (I’m not a typical cougher).

Theophylline (and query about lung function tests)
Xolair
has also been mentioned BUT my lung function tests (spirometry and FeNO) keep coming back as normal and the consultant I saw today said more evidence needs to be built if I'm to be put forward for it. So he's booking me in for a mannitol challenge.
