antifungals and asthma
My IgE is usually between 200 and 600 and I've been told I don't qualify for
Xolair
as my FEV1 isn't low enough. Has anyone tried antifungals?

Immunotherapy (asthma and food allergy)
I have been wondering if anyone here has been referred for immunotherapy/
xolair
? I have asthma, eczema and a food allergy and I wondered if there was a criteria to qualify to be referred?

Sub cut terbutaline
I've been turned down for
xolair
. Very very reluctant to just take more and more pred. The side effects would be ok if the medication helped- but I'm not sure it does. The trade off doesn't seem worth it. I was wondering what next. I don't know what the next 'step up' is.

Hospital appointment
George's tomorrow for my
xolair
injection. Nervous this time round. Am taking a friend as I have had multiple people encouraging me to ask them about talking to someone about the emotional side (I keep putting off asking) that seems to have hit me Like a brick wall recently.

Any New News on Xolair? How essential oils have helped me be calmer.
., I could go on but the main reason Im writing this post is because of my research into
xolair
. There seems to be some controversy about it and I would like to hear from anyone who has had it or being offered it.

Reducing pred
I had another dose of
xolair
yesterday (I have them every two weeks) and was told I need to start reducing my pred. I am on 40mg and have been for the last year. I'm coming down 5mg every two week. Am somewhat apprehensive.

Severe atopic asthma
I am also on 2 weekly
xolair
injections to help combat high IGE levels which help stop the allergic side of my asthma. Alongside quite a few other inhalers and drugs to control things. In the last year I have been in a&e 22 times and had 8 hospital stays including one for viral meningitis.

New injection Mepolizumab (Nucala)
Hi All, I started on the new injection today Mepolizumab (Nucala), they stopped the Omalizumab (
Xolair
) in March, I was lucky not to have any exacerbations while not having the jabs, so I hope this is going to give me some relief and normality back.

Another on uniphyllin
I've been on every inhaler,
xolair
and spiriva respimat and found that 200mg twice daily does nothing. I'm larger person, was a nurse, aware of blood tests and toxicity.

Prednisone taper
Evening all ....I've been on 25mg of pred for nearly 2 years (which has kept me stable) and
xolair
for 7 months, my consultant has decided to start to taper my dose. At a reduction of 5mg a day each month.
