High TSH AND high T4 after thyroid removal
Hello, I'm a 38-year-old male with Thyroid cancer (papillary carcinoma). I'm 174cm tall and weigh 152 lbs. I had surgery to remove the tumor and my thyroid about 3 months ago (end of February). On January 22 (before the surgery), my TSH was 3.59 mlU/L (range of 0.40 and 4.50), and my endocrinologist

I am adamant

Any tips on getting through an increase in levothyroxine and feeling a bit rubbish
Hi everyone, after a too quick reduction in levothyroxine and an return of symptoms I’ve had an increase. I’m 3 weeks in to an increase to 100mcg daily and then in 4 weeks I’m to very slowly increase liothyronine from 10mcg to 20mcg (I’ll do this v gradually). I’m feeling really rubbish, exhausted

Teva brand
Hi, I've been started on 25mg levo for 2 weeks then up to 50mg for a few months followed by a blood test (Teva because I'm lactose intolerant). I can see loads of reports of people struggling with this brand. How do you get on with Teva? Is there a lactose free alternative? I'm wondering if the quantity

How to Stop Medication
Hello, I am desparately wanting to come off my thyroid medication, been on it too long, in my view, but no dr will help me. I am very keen to try to heal my thyroid condition (if I actually have one) with a good diet or change of diet. I believe it is possible, but the medical profession seem to want

Hi all, Feeling somewhat relived that my latest medichecks test shows my TSH has increased since Jan (same dose - 75mcg) from 0.9 - 3.38. T3 and T4 remained fairly constant (see attached) For the first time I also got TGA tested and they are high, my TPO antibodies have always been negative. So at least

A little update
Hi all, I just thought I'd give a little update as I've not posted here in about a year and just possibly my experience may be of interest. I am not in ANY way invalidating anyone else's condition or treatment, this is just my story. For years I have struggled with low mood, lacking 'oomph' in life.

Has Anyone Tried Ashwaghanda For Anxiety?
I am feeling very anxious atm. I keep getting a thumping heart, pounding in head/ears with feelings that something is about to happen. This has been going on for pretty much 2 weeks. I have nothing to be stressed about other than my head wound from my op in February that is taking time to heal. I saw

I would like to ask…
why it is that during hypothyroid treatment, new symptoms seem to crop up along the way? When I first started levo, along with the usual levels of joint pains and aches I’d had for a while, I developed the most excruciating hip and groin pain (had to use a walking stick)that lasted a couple of weeks

Levo increase effects?
I have been ill with low thyroid symptoms since the start of April. Thereabouts April 24 ish I started an increase of levothyroxine from 50 to 75. I've been starting to feel better extremely slowly from feeling ill but I can't tell if that's the meds increase or just what would have happened anyway.

increasing T3 advice
Hello, My endo has told me this week to increase from 5mcg T3 to 7.5mcg and if that feels ok / no palpitations after a week to go up to 10mcg. I’m also on levo 150 and have been told to go up to 175 at weekends. I posted my recent blood results on Monday. All vits tested December and optimal. Iron
