Welchol

After quitting statins because of severe leg pain I went to Welchol and had the same problem. I then went to the injection method with Repatha now, after six weeks it appears my leg pain is returning with a vengeance. (Leg pain did go away after quitting the other drugs).

Placed on Welchol for ibs d and felt great. Followed low god map but eventually started eating bad things. I’ve had 3 rounds of Xifaxan, but lately stomach hurt, shoulder blade pain and chest burning. This all goes away when I lay down. To top it off I have panic attacks.

Hope you guys won't think I'm a pest, but I really would like you people with chronic diarrhea to try these drugs...can't hurt: I had chronic diarrhea for years and finally found a doctor who prescribed me a drug called "Welchol." Stopped my problem immediately!

Anyway, my doctor put me on a medication called "Welchol." Stopped my diarrhea in it's tracks. It is very expensive here in the States, though, so he has now put me on another drug called "Colestipol." Works wonders, too!

I do take Bystolic and Welchol, VitD, Magnesium and an occasional stool softener. Many thanks to all of you and what you have written. I have found my support group!

Similar agents such as colestipol (COLESTID) and cholesevelam (WELCHOL) may have the same effect, although there is not as much evidence for this. We recommend separating all of these medications, known as “bile acid binders,” from the taking of levothyroxine by at least four to six hours.
