Vyvanse

I live in the UK and my doctor's first choice was Vyvanse (Elvanse here). I heard so many amazing things about Vyvanse in these forums that I was eager to start. To my disappointment, the first days were really tough. I couldn't think, I was slow and felt quite altered as if I had been sedated.

I am so overwhelmed and my medication doesn’t seem to be working - Vyvanse 50mg. I am having a terrible time finding a therapist and/or support group that specializes in adult add/adhd in my area of Virginia. Any suggestions on remote specialists or groups?

Looking for people’s experiences using an afternoon booster for vyvanse (or other med). I take 50mg vyvanse, usually around 7am. Works pretty well from late morning to around 2-3pm then slowly seems to wear off.

I started out taking Vyvanse and increasing the dose month by month. I think it worked alright, boosted my mood a little, helped me control my sugar cravings, and get into a more consistent workout routine.

my meds history: im 20 year old. i was diagnosed with ADD(without hyperactivness) at first grade. i first took Ritalin, but swiched to Aderal after a month of being in a bad and antisocial mood. i switched to Vyvanse in about 3th grade to 8th great(cant remember honestly), and i take it until now.

I was diagnosed in my 20’s and have been medicated for a decade or so and Vyvanse seems to help, but I can’t stick to a routine and it’s affecting every part of my life.

I am 54 and only recently diagnosed with ADD ( inattentive ) in early 2022- I had no luck with Elvanse ( too anxiety inducing ) or antemoxetine ( no response at all ) but the [u]dexamphetemine[/u] I have been taking for a few weeks may be helping. ( currently 20 mg in morning and 10 mg in the

My Dr recently switched me to vyvanse 20mg. I feel calmer and irritability is significantly less however I feel zero motivation or interest in anything. I feel like it is not making me care about anything like the mess aroubd me piling up and no interest in anything at work.

I’m 48, have had little success with vyvanse, Concerta and now Adderall due to side effects. All of these wonderful adhd meds are making me dreadfully tired, tachycardic and adderall is giving me abdominal pains and possibly affecting my urination despite lots of hydration.

Has anyone tried taking a mood stabilizer to try and manage the irritability Vyvanse causes to some? I’m currently taking lamictal due to the moodiness ADHD causes me to have. Just wondering if I can make a good combo.

The second provider is hell bent on treating me with just Wellbutrin (which 5 weeks in isn't helping) and keeps stringing me along on the evaluation because I want to be on either Adderall or Vyvanse (both meds have worked for me in the past). She doesn't want me on any stimulant.

Started struggling, tried Methiphenydate (sp) and Vyvanse. Both made him very sick. Didn't work. Freshman year went OK. He was not medicated. 10th grade year was going badly, he was failing. Then the pandemic happened and virtual learning was a saving grace!

Hi haven’t posted in a while . Diagnosed adhd last year and ASD this year . Loads happened last few years , both parents died , mental breakdown triggering diagnosis of both adhd and ASD . Last year psychiatry Uk tried me on elvanse 30mg then 50mg then added dexamphetamin as whatever dose only lasted

I went a couple years without trying anything again until life got really bad and a therapist asked if I had tried Vyvanse. I ended up having a lot of the same issues and was very disappointed. I scoured the internet for many of the negative side effects where some didn't seem to be very common.

We had him on Focalin XR for about 2 years and have now switched him to Vyvanse 20mg as well as Guanfacine 2mg. I can't even accurately put into words what we are dealing with. Every moment is a struggle with him. He has no self-control and is extremely impulsive.

I have recently started taking Vyvanse (just over a month) and i can say it is helping with alot of these symptoms. However, yesterday was a REALLY bad day for hyperfocus and I could not break out of it.
