Asthma Conundrum!
If my symptoms were under control, I wouldn't be needing to use
ventolin
hardly at all. I am having to use it every day, several times a day despite being on this preventer.

Post Covid Queries!
I tested positive for Covid 2 weeks ago… it’s caused an asthma flare but luckily I got prescribed steroids for a week which, along with my Fostair and
Ventolin
inhalers, kept things stable enough for me to stay home.

Asthma and Covid Experiences Please!
My asthma is normally pretty well controlled, I’m on Fostair 100/6 one puff twice a day, and
Ventolin
when required which until now I haven’t really needed since being on Fostair a couple of years ago. I also have Dymista nasal spray too.

Antihistamines for Post Covid Symptoms?
Hi, a few weeks ago I tested positive for Covid… It caused an asthma flare but my Fostair and
Ventolin
along with a course of Dexomethasone steroids seemed to have kept it manageable… Although the actual illness passed very quickly (temp, awful throat, horrible barking coughing fits) I have been left

Managing asthma while reducing steroids
I’ve been lucky that I’ve been steroid free for about 5months and my asthma’s been fairly under control, which for me means taking
ventolin
maybe 2 or 3 days a week and sometimes several times during ‘that’ day.

Ventolin use
With asthma
Ventolin
is the atomiser that is first used by doctors so they can establish how bad your asthma is. I tried 3 different types but settled on Symbicort. Then I was 2 puffs morning, noon & night. After a year I am now down to 2 puffs in the morning every second day.

Ventolin running out too quickly
My son (14) was prescribed a
ventolin
inhaler a few months ago because he was getting asthma symptoms during hard exercise. 1-2 puffs works brilliantly when the inhaler is new but is stops being effective after a few weeks when it is still half-full (checked by weighing).

Can exercise trigger symptoms days later?
Did a class a couple of days ago and did need my
ventolin
but was ok. Two days later I woke up with tight chest (PF was down) but not aware of any triggers so I'm wondering if it's a late reaction to the stress I put on my lungs at xfit.

Refusal to give nebuliser at A & E. Has anyone else experienced this?
The first doctor took me back in to the cubicle and took my SAT’s which were fine (they usually are and after 20 puffs of
ventolin
wouldn’t they be? I don’t know).

Chest infection confusion
Also on a lot of antihistamines, Montelukast, Spiriva Respimat, Relvar Ellipta,
Ventolin
(inhalers, nebuliser), Carbocisteine. Finally, I am on replacement 5mg Prednisolone (for adrenal insufficiency) rather than therapeutic doses, was on 10mg for a while with higher doses for longer before that.

The beginning. A warning !
After deciding that in my case
ventolin
was not very effective I seem to get a bit of relief from an inhaler called Fostair . I know we are all different but after trying different ones this is the best one in my case . Hope this sharing saves someone from suffering the same fate as me .

Respiratory Consultant wants me to come off asthma meds!
So previously would like to think I was fit - peak flow used to be 450 and I had seretide 500,
Ventolin
and montelukast to control asthma, with steroids for exacerbations caused by chest infection or hayfever. Has this happened to anyone else and if so what did you do?

struggling to cope with COPD
The doctor just tells me he thinks I have mild COPD and I have a
ventolin
inhaler to use when I am wheezy. My peak flow is usually around 300 during the day - I take regular excercise swimming and walking. In general my life is normal.

How often do you get pneumonia in a year with bronchiectasis?
I do lung clearance once daily and
Ventolin
2X a day. Also, Breo Ellipta for asthma, Flonase and Allegra. I eat healthy and exercise.
