asthma drugs and levothyroxine
I have a medical history of not tolerating the asthma drugs well (I seem to react to all phenolics including salbutamol (
ventolin
)) and I am generally really suspicious of these drugs.

Whoopee!
I had to do a short walk which I thought I did rather too well, so I was preparing myself to be turned down on the grounds of being able to walk (although I did have to stop and use my
ventolin
).

A good summer
I have never had to use my
Ventolin
not even once. I still carry it around with me of course. I am due to go back and see my asthma nurse next month for a review of my medication. I still taking my preventer Flixotide too. So I wait to see what happens.

COPD Mild
I had already been given a
Ventolin
Evohaler and used it this morning when suffering a bad coughing bout and shortness of breath and it seemed to work.

Inhalers like Ventolin?
The only inhaler I can use is
Ventolin
. Is there anything of a similar but stronger version on the market. May thanks Steve

Asthma & excessive mucus
Even taking the inhalers (including
ventolin
for acute episodes) doesn't reduce the mucus. My quality of life is noticable declining. Two flights of stairs cause me to cough, with little control. I'd really appreciate advice from any asthma suffers with similar symptoms. Thanks, KatyS

Life threatening acute asthma
They 'thru the kitchen sink at me for hrs and I was not responding - I've magnesium/potassium/
ventolin
/cortisone and more besides. I ended up having to be externally ventilated by a bipap mask/machine.

Lots of water and
ventolin
inhaler at hand. Went out last night mind you. Lucy took me out in her wheelchair (something we have for her as an emergency because of her issues) and pushed me down to the local park after sunset when it was a tad cooler.

Running induced asthma
Doctor prescribed a
ventolin
salbutamol inhaler, which doesn't seem to help, shouldn't it be an albuterol or cromolyn sodium inhaler?

Waking at night
I've woken the last two nights because of discomfort in my chest & needed to take my
ventolin
. Hope this doesn't mean it's getting worse!

COPD and Depression
I struggle so hard to get to work every day, spiriva and
ventolin
just about gets me up the road, I work almost full time and I still can't afford to feed my family!!! My rent takes 65% of my salary, Council Tax another 15% and I can just make the bills .

Anyone else have Exercise-Induced Asthma?
At the Parkrun on Saturday I started coughing a lot just after half way so walked for a few seconds and took a puff of
Ventolin
. I then stopped coughing and ran the rest of the way (to a PB!) So I know the cough is asthma but otherwise I find it hard to differentiate. Cheers.
